Liplase can restore volume in the lips and can also improve definition around the edge of the lips.
What Is Liplase?
Collagen is a protein that the body produces naturally but in a diminishing amount as we age. It is found throughout the body and is part of the support structure for our bones, muscles, and skin. Collagen is one of the key elements in the texture and tone of our skin, including the lips. As natural collagen production slows in aging, the effects begin to show externally as lines and wrinkles become more visible. Common solutions include dermal fillers and Botox injections which can “plump” the lips and restore volume in treated areas. Liplase offers a non-invasive alternative for restoring fullness to the lips and reversing the signs of aging.
Dr. Mia uses the Fotona laser to rejuvenate your lips and give them a fuller, healthier appearance. This unique laser uses targeted heat energy to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. Liplase is performed during a single visit in our Burke, VA dentist office. Are you ready for a more youthful smile?
How Does Liplase Work?
The Lipase procedure is relatively quick, non-invasive, and requires no downtime. There are no needles, it is generally painless, and results will emerge almost immediately. Dr. Mia will discuss your cosmetic desires and goals before treatment and will provide expected results based on the condition of your lips. While you sit comfortably in the chair, Dr. Mia will move the laser wand over the areas to be treated. The laser energy is directed at lip tissue on the upper lip, lower lip or both. The level of laser penetration can be controlled by Dr. Mia and is chosen based on your needs and desired outcome.
